Matshita UJ-812 DVD-RW Optical Drive Firmware Update Utility

• During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

1. Download the KMFOPD-00679605-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double click the KMFOPD-00679605-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the "Matshita DVD-RW UJ-812 Optical Firmware Update for Microsoft® Windows® XP " box, click Next.
4. At the "License Agreement" dialog box, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree".
5. At the "F/W Loader Firmware Upgrade Utility" dialog box, open the Disc Tray then click "OK".
6. Confirm that the Disc Tray is open, then click OK.
7. To start the Firmware Update process, click OK. Please wait while the DVD-RW firmware is flashed.
   WARNING!!: Do not interrupt the update process, as it may damage the drive.
8. After the Firmware Update is complete, click Exit.
9. At the "FINISH" dialog box, click OK to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the firmware update of the Matshita DVD-RW UJ-812 optical drive is complete.
