- Download the HKY2107XP.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
- If a previous version of the HotKey Utility is still installed on the computer, follow the steps below to uninstall it. Otherwise, continue with step 5.
- Click Start and click Control Panel.
- At the "Control Panel" window, click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon.
- At the "Add or Remove Programs" box, from the "Currently installed programs" list, click the "HotKey Utility" entry to highlight it.
- Click the Change/Remove button.
- At the "Welcome" screen, click the "Remove" option and then click Next.
- At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click OK. Please wait as the files are uninstalled.
NOTE: If a "Shared File Detected" box appears, click the "Don't display this message again" box (to check it), and then click Yes.
- At the "Maintenance Complete" screen, click Finish.
- Click Close to quit the "Add or Remove Programs" box.
- Click the X in the top-right corner to close the "Control Panel" window.
- Restart the computer.
- Click Start and click Turn Off Computer.
- At the "Turn off computer" menu, click Restart.
- After the computer has restarted, continue with step 5.
- Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the HKY2107XP.EXE file to begin the installation.
- At the "Sony Hotkey Utility 2.1.00.07170 InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next.
- At the "InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next.
- At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, click Finish.
- Restart the computer.
After the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony Hot Key Utility is complete.
