This update adds the following features:

• Support for DVD+R Double Layer Media. Requires DVD+R DLM capable drive.
• VR Mode to capture and create a DVD from an Analog Video Device, on computers with the preinstalled VAIO Zone™ Software, or Windows XP Media Center.
• Support for the HDV Camcorder (create DVD/HD Disc). This feature requires a computer with the following minimum requirements:
  • Intel® Pentium 4 2.8GHz CPU
  • 512 MB RAM memory
  • External graphics card. (ATI® or nVidia® graphics card is recommended.)

This utility updates the Sony® DVgate Plus™ software to add support for 4 channel DV devices and 4/5.1 channel AVI files, and also resolves the following issues:

• The image is delayed when previewing MICROMV® files.
• Failure to output files to a MICROMV device when repeating output of files to a MICROMV device.
• If a clip of more than 2 hours is exported to the hard drive, audio and video may become unsynchronized during playback.
• Failure to output clips to a DV Device, if the clips list includes a clip that is less two seconds long.
• Click to DVD™ software cannot read Click to DVD Project files, created in "File Output", that contain the ampersand (&) character.

• The TV application sometimes will not open.
• Movies are recorded incorrectly.
• The Giga Pocket® application sometimes fails to record content from a non-copyright protected DVD, such as a home-made DVD.

• A blue screen appears when using the Microsoft® Windows Media® 9 Series Player.
• The computer stops responding when the license of a protected music file is selected using the Microsoft® Windows Media® 9 Series Player.
• A blue screen appears when the computer starts with a Memory Stick® media in the Memory Stick® media slot.
