IMPORTANT: This file is only for use with the models identified. Not all models are sold in all countries.

Important Notes
  • Before installing Windows 2000 Professional or this update, please be sure to read Installing the Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Operating System. Most of Sony's Windows 2000 software updates require you to install Windows 2000 Professional in C:\WINNT. If Windows 2000 is not installed in this location, these updates will not install correctly.
  • During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions
  1. Download the SNYCAP10.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SNYCAP10.EXE file to begin the installation.
  3. At the "Sony MOTION EYE Video Capture Driver 1.0.16.1097 - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next. Several setup boxes will briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
    NOTE: If a "Confirm File Deletion" box appears, you have already installed this update. Click OK to remove the existing installation files and then repeat steps 4-7 to reinstall the update.
  4. At the "Digital Signature Not Found" box, click Yes.
  5. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click Finish.

As the computer restarts, the installation of the Sony MOTION EYE Video Capture Device Driver is complete.



Uninstall Instructions

If it is necessary to reinstall the Sony Memory Stick Driver, you will need to first remove the SNYCAP10.EXE installation files. To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the directory where the SNYCAP10.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
  2. At the "Sony MOTION EYE Video Capture Driver 1.0.16.1097 - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next.
  3. At the "Confirm File Deletion" window, click OK to remove all of its components. Please wait as the installation files are removed.
The uninstallation process is complete. You may redownload and reinstall the SNYCAP10.EXE file.
