Remote Keyboard Software Update

What Does This Do?

This utility installs updated version 1.1.0.07060 of the Remote Keyboard software and provides the following benefits:

  • Provides the capability to establish a Bluetooth® wireless connection between the computer and a PlayStation®3, so that the computer keyboard can be used to operate the PlayStation3 system
  • Allows a wireless connection between the computer and certain Sony® televisions so that the computer keyboard or touchpad can be used to operate the TV
  • Enables text input functionality from the computer keyboard to compatible BRAVIA® HD televisions, Blu-ray Disc™ players, and PlayStation3 devices
  • Allows the user to obtain music title, artist, and album information playing on a networked Sony BRAVIA HDTV set using TrackID

IMPORTANT: This file is only for use with the models identified. Not all models are sold in all countries.

Important Notes
  • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.
Download and Installation Instructions
  1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  2. Download the SOAOTH-00255037-1042.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SOAOTH-00255037-1042.EXE file to begin the installation.
  4. At the "User Account Control" window, click "Yes".
  5. If the "Select Language" screen appears, select the language you wish to use, and then click "OK".
  6. At the "Select Country" screen, select the country for this installation, and then click "Next".
  7. At the "Remote Keyboard Ver. 1.1.0.07060" screen, click "Next".
  8. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
  9. At the "Important" dialog box, read the information, then click "OK".
  10. At the "Confirm uninstall" screen, click "OK" to remove the existing version.
  11. At the "Uninstall Complete" screen, click "Finish".
  12. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Remote Keyboard" screen, click "Next".
  13. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, click "Finish".
  14. At the "Finish" screen, click "Finish".
  15. Restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Remote Keyboard Software Update is complete.
