Atheros® AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter Driver

What Does This Do?

This utility installs the Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter driver for Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system.

This driver also resolves the yellow exclamation point error Device Manager Exclaimation Point Error that may appear in Device Manager next to "Network Controller" which indicates that a driver is not installed for that device.

For computers that ship with Microsoft® Windows Vista® operating system, this file is intended to provide basic system functionality under Windows XP operating system.

Download and Installation Instructions
  1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  2. Download the MRDWLL-00183295-XP.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the MRDWLL-00183295-XP.EXE file to begin the installation.
  4. At the "Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter", screen, click "Next".
  5. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
  6. At the "Finish" screen, click "Finish".

The installation of the Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter Driver is complete.
