What does this do?

This utility updates the nVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7400 Graphics Controller Driver to version 8.4.0.5 and provides the following benefits:

  • Adds support for the DTCP-IP client. This allows certain copy protected digital content to be shared between supported devices in an IP compliant home network, but not with third parties outside the home network.
  • Resolves an issue where no image is displayed when using the webcam test for the Skype® Internet phone program.
  • Resolves an issue where the LCD brightness is set to maximum when the display setting is changed.

Important Notes
  • Before installing this driver, make sure that the notebook is set to SPEED Mode.
  • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
Download and Installation Instructions
  1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  2. Download the NVDVID-A1040607-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the NVDVID-A1040607-US.EXE file to begin the installation.
  4. At the "NVIDIA® GeForce Go 7400 Graphics Controller" screen, click "Next".
  5. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
    NOTE: Please wait while the utility extracts the necessary files for the update.
  6. At the "Device Driver Installation Wizard" screen, click "Next".
    NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
  7. At the "Finished" screen, click "Finish".
  8. At the "System Settings Change" dialog box, click "Yes" to restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the nVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7400 Graphics Controller Driver is complete.
