Optiarc® DVD-RW AD-7560S Firmware Update

What Does This Do?

This utility updates the Optiarc DVD-RW AD-7560S firmware to version SS04 and provides the following benefits:

Resolves an issue where the optical disc drive appears as "DVD-ROM" instead of "DVD-R/-RW" when blank DVD media is inserted and formatted using the UDF (Universal Disk Format) file system standard
Resolves an issue where DVD playback is not smooth
Resolves an issue where the disc will not eject after formatting or erasing DVD-RAM media
Adds support for Qflix® formatted discs
Improves read and write performance

Important Notes

This update is intended only for models with the Optiarc DVD-RW AD-7560S drive option.
During the installation of this update do not turn the computer off or cancel the update.
During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions

To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
Download the OPFOPD-00211615-1070.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the OPFOPD-00211615-1070.EXE file to begin the installation.
If the "User Account Control" screen appears, click "Continue" or "Yes".
At the "Optiarc DVD RW AD-7560S Firmware Update" screen, click "Next".
At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
At the "Firmware Update Tool Ver 7.3-W" screen, follow the instructions, then click "Update" to continue.
At the "FwFlash" screen, click "OK".
At the "Finish" screen click "Finish".
If the "Program Compatibility Assistant" screen appears, click "This program installed correctly".
Restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the installation of the Optiarc DVD-RW AD-7560S Firmware Update is completed.
