NVIDIA® GeForce® 310M/GT 320M/330M Video Driver Update

What Does This Do?

This utility installs an updated version of the NVIDIA GeForce 310M/GT 320M/GT 330M video driver and provides the following benefits:

  • Improves HDMI compatibility
  • Resolves an issue where distortion occurs during playback of a movie file using VAIO® Media Plus, Windows Media Center, or Media Gallery applications
  • Resolves an issue where the Picture Motion Browser VAIO Edition and Media Gallery applications may freeze (stop responding) or hang when the user attempts to maximize or resize the window while playing a video preview

Important Notes
  • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • It is highly recommended that you print out these instructions for use as a reference during the installation process.
  • It is necessary to uninstall the current version of the NVIDIA video drivers before installing this update.
How to uninstall the current version of the NVIDIA Video Drivers
  1. Click "Start", and then click "Control Panel".
  2. At the "Control Panel" screen, click "Uninstall a program".
  3. At the "Uninstall or change a program" list, right-click "NVIDIA Drivers" and then click "Uninstall/Change".
  4. At the "NVIDIA Uninstall" screen, select "Yes" to remove the NVIDIA Display Driver.
  5. At the "Your computer must be restarted now in order to complete the uninstall process" screen, click "Yes" to restart the computer.
  6. After the uninstall procedure is complete and the computer restarts, continue with the download and installation instructions below.
Download and Installation Instructions
  1. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  2. Download the NVDVID-00220046-1042.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  3. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the NVDVID-00220046-1042.EXE file to begin the installation.
  4. At the "User Account Control" screen, click "Yes".
  5. At the "NVIDIA GeForce 310M / GT 320M / GT 330M" screen, click "Next".
  6. At the "License Agreement" dialog, read the agreement, then, if you agree, click "I Agree" to continue with the installation.
  7. At the "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for NVIDIA Windows Software" screen, click "Next".
  8. At the "Select Features" screen, click "Next".
  9. At the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now", and then click "Finish".

After the computer restarts, the installation of the NVIDIA GeForce 310M/GT 320M/GT 330M Video Driver Update is complete.
