What Does This Do?

This utility installs the originally shipped version of the Sony Digital Photo Printer Driver for Windows Vista 64 bit version.

IMPORTANT: This file is only for use with the models identified. Not all models are sold in all countries.

Important Notes
  • Before downloading and installing the software, please check the system requirements below to determine whether or not this program is compatible with your computer.
    Minimum System Requirements:
    • IBM® PC/AT or compatible computer (Not for use with Macintosh® systems)
    • One of the following Microsoft® Windows® operating systems:
      • Windows Vista® Home Basic
      • Windows Vista Home Premium
      • Windows Vista Business
      • Windows Vista Ultimate
      NOTE: Starter versions of the operating system are not supported.
    • CPU: 500MHz Pentium® III processor or higher (800MHz Pentium III or higher is recommended)
    • RAM: 128MB or more (256MB or more is recommended)
    • Hard Disk Space: 200MB or more depending on the size and number of sound files you store.
      NOTE: Depending on your version of Windows, more space may be required to install the software. Further memory space will be required if you intend to edit photo data.
  • Precautions:
    • Problems may arise if you connect multiple USB devices to a single computer (including another printers) or if you use a hub. If a problem occurs, reduce the number of connected devices.
    • You cannot operate the printer from a USB device used simultaneously with the printer.
    • Do not unplug the USB cable while data is being transferred or printed as this will affect printing.
    • This printer does not support your computer's standby or hibernation mode. Do not switch the computer to standby mode or hibernation mode during printing as this may cause a printing error.
    • The recommended environment does not guarantee operation on all computers.
  • During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
  • To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  • Make sure the printer is disconnected from the computer before installing this driver.
  • It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.
Download and Installation Instructions
  1. Make sure the printer is disconnected from the computer before installing this driver.
  2. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
  3. Download the FP607090X64W01.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
  4. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the FP607090X64W01.EXE file to begin the installation.
  5. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation.
    NOTE: Do not connect the printer to your computer until instructed. If you connect the printer before instructed, a new hardware window will appear. In this case, disconnect the printer and click Cancel.
