Picture Motion Browser Software Update

This utility updates the originally shipped Cyber-shot® Viewer software or Picture Motion Browser software to Picture Motion Browser software version 1.1.

Added or Updated Features for Cyber-shot Viewer™ Software

Software Name Change The software name will be changed from "Cyber-shot Viewer" to "Picture Motion Browser". New Features Added Compatibility with Microsoft® Windows Vista® operating system. Date print function: Ability to print still images with the shooting date displayed. Map View function: Ability to display still images with position information on the online world map. NOTE: This function requires the GPS unit (optional accessory), a compatible computer, and access to the Internet. Ability to delete original image files from the computer on the thumbnail screen. Ability to export JPEG images to a memory card in the DCF format. Ability to display images by group in folder view. Ability to sort out still images or movies on the thumbnail screen. Exif print function for use with compatible Sony® printers. NOTE: The following Sony printers are compatible with this function: DPP-EX50, DPP-FP30, DPP-FP50, DPP-FP55, and DPP-FP35. Ability to adjust images using the tone curve. Improved Feature The red-eye reduction function is improved.

Important Notes

To install this update, it is necessary to have previously installed the software the shipped with the digital camera or digital photo printer. NOTE: Depending on the model of camera or printer, the original software will be either Cyber-shot Viewer or Picture Motion Browser. This update requires at least 200 MB of available space on the computer hard disk drive. To run Picture Motion Browser software version 1.1 one of the following Microsoft® Windows® operating systems must be installed on the computer: Windows Vista® Ultimate Windows Vista Business Windows Vista Home Premium Windows Vista Home Basic Windows XP Professional Windows XP Home Edition Windows 2000 Windows Me During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in to the computer as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights. To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding. It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download the SPU11_Update1115a.exe file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference). Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SPU11_Update1115a.exe file to begin the installation. Please follow the on-screen prompts carefully to complete the installation.
